Proenza Schouler's Fall 2011 show definitely touched on the topic of macrame (yes, we DO love Proenza here at Knitorious). though macrame isn't technically a knit... in any sense actually... it's pretty evident that it relates. i can picture many intarsias, pointelles, arans, cables and even jacquards when looking at these intricate uses of yarn!
can we also talk about their amazing knits?? i love the way they've shown the technical back side of these birds-eye-back jacquard! often pairing them with separates showing the face side. and need i mention the colours?? and i thought it'd be impossible to follow up those incredible ikats from preFall! discuss amongst yourselves!
oh man, I almost did it too. But I wanted to leave this one to you hahah THEY SHOULD JUST HIRE US! We all like the same things
ReplyDeletewow! so great. i have to say i think they are by far my favorite design team. love every collection. so great with color and mixing pattern. one of my illustration projects my last semester at FIT was inspired by them and the 70s ;)
